Small Cotton Spinning Mill - 5000 SPINDLES
Cloth is primary need of people. Cotton is produces abundantly in Africa. But no spinning mills in many countries. So cotton bales are exported and cloth is imported. This is big exploitation. So spinning mills should be established right from Ginning of cotton to Yarn. Once Yarn is available, automatic looms also will come and cloth will be produced locally. This is the demand of the day. So elite patriotic rich people of Africa should come forward to establish textile units right from cotton to cloth. So I am offering small spinning mill of 5000 spindles.
This spinning mill will not utilize bale cotton. But it will utilize cotton harvested from farms which is with cotton seed. So Ginning of cotton will be in the spinning mill. It will separate cotton seed and loose lint cotton. Cotton seed will be sold out to oil millers and loose lint cotton will be processed in to yarn in the spinning mill. Yarn quality from loose lint cotton will be far better and almost 20% more stronger than the yarn produced from pressed baled cotton. This is the biggest benefit of ginning cum spinning mill.
All the machinery will be second hand but in excellent working condition. Generally textile machines have 60 years life span. We will supply good quality machines used for 15 to 20 years but still it will run smoothly for about 25 to 30 years.
New textile machinery is heavily costly. Investment in spinning mills is quoted per spindle. Presently new spinning mill is quoted at US$ 400 per spindle in India. So for 5000 spindles, total investment is US$ 2 million in India. This is too heavy figure. But it is including factory shed. If construction cost in Africa is more, new spinning mill in Africa may go beyond US$ 400 per spindle.
As against this, my offer for 5000 spindles spinning mill is only US$ 40/- per spindle which is only 10% of new machinery. This includes ginning machines also. But this offer is without construction of factory shed. You have to construct your own factory shed of 80 ft X 120 ft X 24 ft height.
Yarn will be from 20 counts to 40 counts depending on the variety of cotton grown in the farms. Higher the count , higher is the price of Yarn per Kg. With 40 counts, daily production will be 800 Kg of Yarn. Total electricity connection will be about 200 HP but power consumption will be based on 100 HP only because some machines will works for a few hours.
40 count Yarn is sold in India at about US$ 3/Kg.
I have established such small spinning mill of 2500 spindles before 3 years which is working most satisfactorily and profitably. It is 270 km far from Rajkot, India.
I am sure that profit in this spinning mill will be highest even though investment will be lowest. Reason is that ginning unit is included here and hence ginning factory profit and spinning factory profit both you will get.

Then you can pack the ready wafer to sell in 1 kg simple packing in plastic. So this is the real wafer to be promoted manufacture at small scale level.

MY MISSION FOR CLOTH PRODUCTION IN AFRICA

My life mission is to create self reliance in the primary needs of the people. Cloth is the most important primary need. So wherever cotton is produced, cloth must be produced there and there and people should wear the clothes produced from their own cotton.

Once you have a yarn, you can easily establish many weaving looms either hand looms or paddle looms or solar looms. So weaving of cloth will be home industry. . This weaving industry can provide self business or self employment to millions of people. So this industry will remove poverty and unemployment in villages and will increase prosperity in poor rural society.

PROJECT OF 100 HAND LOOMS FOR AFRICA

Hand loom project is still easier and far cheaper than solar looms.
So I have contemplated cluster of 100 hand looms.
About 10 mt cloth is weaved per day of 10 hours per hand loom.
So for 100 looms, 100 looms x 10 mt = 1000mt of cloth per day.
Annual cloth production will be 1000 mt per day x 300 days/ year = 300000 mt.
So this will be very good home industry cluster.
Every person requires 10 mt cloth annually for decent living.
So cluster of 100 hand looms can produce cloth for 30000 people.
Any intelligent entrepreneur can understand that if profit per meter is say only 10 cent (USUSD0.1), then annual profit will be USUSD30000/-.
Now let us understand total investment.
Hand loom costs only US USD300/- x 100 looms = USUSD30000/- + sizing and warping equipments will costs US USD10000/-. Steamer freight and other expenses and training to women will cost about USUSD20000/-.
Then total investment will be US USD60000/-.
Against this investment, annual profit is expected to be USUSD30000/-.
So 50% return on investment.
These 100 looms will work in individual homes. So no factory construction required. Mostly women will work at their convenience.

So ultimate aim should be to produce cloth from their own cotton and wear the clothes of their own cotton. This will be real revolution which will change entire economy of Africa and also of Europe.
